Our modern fleet of volumetric mix trucks can deliver fresh concrete mix to your job site. Whatever your needs are, we can mix different concrete strengths in a single delivery. This allows the composition of the mix to be changed quickly in response to changing weather conditions or changes in construction plans. Once on site, the ingredients are continuously metered and proportioned volumetrically into the auger via calibrated controls. This, in turn, produces concrete by combining the ingredients uniformly. The method enables the operator to mix any amount of fresh concrete on-site, according to any mix design, with no waste. In addition, the mix design can be changed instantly to produce different types of concrete from the same load.

On-site concrete mixing is a very simple process. Three materials are contained within bins on the volumetric concrete mixer. The first is made up of sand, the second of aggregates, and the third of cement. The aggregate and sand are conveyed down a conveyor belt and through a series of flow control gates before entering the mixing bowl chamber and being mixed with cement. Water, as well as any chemicals required in the mix design and glass fibre reinforcing, are added with the addition of cement.

The entire material proportions are mixed in a very aggressive mixing process known as a mix screw. Having a large number of paddles ensures that the concrete is thoroughly mixed, resulting in a high-quality product. The concrete is then discharged from the screw's end. The ready mix concrete can now be loaded into wheelbarrows, poured directly into a foundation, or passed through concrete pumps. There are numerous admixtures available for use in concrete.
